DEFINING FEATURES OF THE SCAMAX 6X1: Simple and intuitive handling

The scamax 6x1 is equipped with a 7” display: Large, clear, colour and – as you would expect for a high-end device – completely touch controlled. This makes operation familiar and intuitive with on-screen user guidance. During the scanning process, the user can see on the display what is being scanned: Which format, whether It is colour or black and white, grayscale or a combination of these. The user can also follow the throughput and current speed, and so will be able to tell if everything is working properly. In addition you can keep an eye on recognised patch codes and barcodes, as well as the scan resolution. This is particularly useful if, for instance, a post-it is stuck on a document and the scanner detects a double feed. The scanner will then stop and show the document on the display. The user can then decide whether the post-it belongs there, and the image can be transferred or discarded.

Good scan preparation plays a major role in keeping scan throughput high, nevertheless, sometimes foreign objects accidentally end up in the scanned material: paperclips, clips, post-it notes etc. If this causes a jam, the 6x1 recognises whether a document has been processed or not. It will then transport the processed document separately out of the scanner at the push of a button. This ensures that a document is not processed twice by mistake, keeping the data record clean. The user can then simply remove the documents that have not been scanned and feed them through the scanner again. At the touch of a button, the scanner opens completely and releases the entire transport path. This completely accessible transport path also makes cleaning the scanner incredibly easy and fast.

All the information on the display is illustrated by easy-to-understand graphics and presented as full text, no cryptic abbreviations. Most of the time it is sufficient to rely on the colour code: an easy and intuitive system based on traffic light logic. If it’s green, you can continue scanning, if it’s red, you need to take a closer look.
The SCAMA 6x1 intelligent user concept and clear communication saves time and money. The possible error messages can be corrected directly on the scanner by the user themselves, without an administrator or technician having to help.
